I focus the new logo I put on the front door last night!
I block out the fact that right next to it is the window painting gone wrong that needs to be scrapped off and redone and until that happens I have to keep hanging the blue sheet with the spring clamp for privacy.
I focus on how great our lathe accent wall is looking!
I ignore the fact that we are decorating walls before I have finished framing walls for the bathroom and that we are still utilizing these lovely cardboard curtains. (At least we are consistent with our hanging hardware).
I focus on how much cooler the shop is since I added reflective insulation to the skylights. (and that I have almost perfected my karaoke performance of usher's new song, because I have heard it so many times while working)
I don't think about the other two blazing hot skylights I still have left to cover.
Probably the best example of my positive outlook is that instead of dwelling on the fact that the high school senior that I fell in love with is growing old and going to her 10 year high school reunion.
I am celebrating the fact that we met each other at such an early age and have gotten to spend so much of our still young lives together. (I was just joking about her growing old, she hates when I talk about her being older than me)
Stay positive, have a great weekend, and get some things done! (that last one is just a little self talk).
Aww so sweet and I really needed these words today Tim! I think it is so amazing the love that you both share. It reminds me of my husband and I. He's getting to his 10 year reunion too! It's so crazy that when we met we were just kids but it's so amazing knowing that you get to grow old with the person you love so much and share a beautiful life together. I really needed to read the words about PMA. Lately, mine has been less than 'P'. I'm trying to get out of my funk but reading your words helped. Have a great day!
