First up is this adorable and oh so true typography art that any mother would surely be thrilled to receive. Home really is wherever Mom is! :) Find this art here!

Mothers nurture us, tend to us, and grow us. Their primary concern in life is to make sure we not only survive, but thrive! If you think about it, Moms are like master gardeners. If you're mum grows plants as well as children, she might enjoy these colorful garden essentials with an adorable floral motif! Find these at Target!

Are you far from your mother this year with no hope of getting home. Well, you may not be able to give her some quality time together, but you can get her this fab floral watch here! So cool!

Is your family blessed to have a strong matriarch at the head? Remind your mom of her Queen Bee status by purchasing this awesome honeycomb necklace. Buy it here!

Now, most moms I meet are very sentimental. . . at least about their children if nothing else. Well, this next idea is perfect to create a gift from the heart to let your mother know she's left a huge imprint on your life! Find out how to DIY your own Fingerprint Jewelry right here! She'll cherish taking a piece of of her kids with her everywhere she goes!

If you enjoy creating things, here's another great idea to try. Paint a "Family Tree" mural on the wall. If you aren't a painter, buy a tree decal (there are lots on Etsy) and then hang photos of all your family members. Your mom will enjoy looking at photos and reliving memories created both with her mom and as a mom! Photo found here- originally from Domino Magazine.

Maybe this year's present isn't so serious and just includes a couple of fun things that remind you of your Mother Hen! :) This fun ceramic egg holder and colorful dishtowel displaying a hen and her chick may be just the ticket. Sometimes it's fun to get gifts you would never buy for yourself. Find these at Anthropologie. PS- Target also has a ceramic egg holder for about half the price right now!

Sometimes the words that come with a gift are the most cherished. For these next two gift ideas I might include a card that says, "Thanks for being a fierce Mama Bear and knowing when to protect me, when to fight for me, and teaching me how to fend for myself!" Find this awesome geometric Mama Bear head here!

This door knocker from Restoration Hardware would be another great reminder that you cherish your Mama Bear!

That concludes my Mother's Day gift guide. I hope it at least got your creative juices flowing so you can show your mom you really care! I'd love to hear any other unique ideas you have for Mother's Day gifts!
PS- I gave a home tour over on The Handmade Home yesterday. If you've never visited Ashley's amazing site, you absolutely should set some time aside and go be inspired!
'Til Monday!

ReplyDeleteYour work is incredible, crafty, and charming! These are great ideas, and I especially like the family tree. Now, if I can only figure out how to get my mama away from her sewing room long enough to get to work! Just in case I can’t manage to get this project done, I am going to get her one of Dish’s Sling Adapters that I found out about since I work for them. It’s super affordable, and it’ll let her watch live TV on her tablet wherever she goes. Although it works anywhere there’s Wi-Fi or mobile 3G network, I think she’ll probably use it most in her sewing room, since she doesn’t have a TV in there, and that’s where she spends a lot of her time. I just hope that if I do make the family tree, I can position the portraits as eloquently as in the picture.
ReplyDeleteso many cute ideas! Would it be bad form to send links to my kids? ;) hehe
