Have you heard about the new trend in jewelry? Right now, it's all about looking beyond beads and rhinestones and finding inspiration in an unlikely place (at least for jewelry making).

Yes, apparently (according to a segment on the today show that I watched) the new craze to to create accessories by strolling the aisles at your local hardware store.
Believe or not, I have been eyeing this chain I spied at Lowes for months now. It's beautiful shape makes it the perfect pick for a piece of jewelry! :)
I simply tied two ribbons to the first and last chain.
Twisted the ribbons together and tied random (not evenly spaced) knots.
And here's what I was left with.
I actually love how it turned out! Especially considering it took me 5 minutes and about $1 to create!! I see a new bracelet and earrings in my future. :)

So, what do you think? Will you be scouring the hardware store for some cheap and chic jewelry or is this trend like parachute pants (a terrible idea)?
PS- Yes, I know my hair is out of control. I really can't help it.
Tim just informed me that parachute pants are coming back in. Awesome. I am so on top of the fashion world.

Gorgeous! And your hair is gorgeous too!
