MEET THE FAM

So I mentioned in a previous post that Tim and I recently traveled north to the great state of Pennsylvania. We went with my parents and the main goal of the trip was to visit my grandparents as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins. We also snuck in a day trip to Philly and Atlantic City, but more about that later. Below are my beautiful Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop on their wedding day about 55 years ago!!!!

My dad's brothers all have very interesting jobs. Uncle Mark manages hotels in Indianapolis and often hosts professional athletes as they travel to play the Colts, Pacers, Fever, ect. . .

Another brother, Uncle Danny, owns his own candy shop in get this. . . PARADISE, PA (isn't that just perfect)! His shop is called "Sweets for Sweeties" and they make everything from old fashioned "clear toy" candy to homemade fudge. Oh, and if you need some delectable desserts for a wedding reception, party, ect. . . "Sweets for Sweeties" ships all throughout the U.S. of A! Contact me for their info!

Here is some of that old fashioned clear toy that is so hard to find these days.

Below: Molds for the clear toy.

And if you just happen to be near Paradise you have to pay a visit to this local landmark and try out my cousin, Melissa's delicious ice cream cupcakes in flavors from triple chocolate to Lemonade!

And if you do make it by, tell them Kara sent you! :)

Last but not least is Uncle Andy, who among other things owns a pet shop! Imagine getting to play with little pups all day!

Being family and all we felt like we needed to stimulate a little business and with my Mom's b--day being so close. . . Dad felt like he found the perfect present!

ADORABLE, huh? His name is not certain yet, but some contenders have been: Lil Ray and Philly.

Oh, and a BIG thank you to Uncle Andy who was able to score playoff Philly tickets!!!

Stay tuned, tomorrow I will post the giveaway!
