I recently spoke at a women's event about turning trash into treasures. Of course a big part of this process is finding items with great potential. I find most of mine at garage sales, so I thought I would create a little video for all of you out there who are little leery of sifting through other people's "junk" or just need a few tips to make sure your garage sale experience is a success!
So, what do you think, was this video helpful? Hopefully you a least found it funny if nothing else!
A thought crossed my mind as I was making this video. . ."Do people in NYC and other big cities have garage sales?" If so, how does it work? Any of my readers out there care to answer? I would love to know!
Yes, we do have similar sales but without garages or big driveways they tend to be smaller. In NYC, they are usually called stoop sales. Sad to report they tend to stink. Lots of old books and old clothing. I've never seen anything good at a stoop sale although Im sure others have had better luck.
ReplyDeleteThat said- Ive found a few nice items on the curb come garbage day. So you win some, you lose some.
Thanks for sharing, that was fun!
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I are HUGE yard sale go-ers. It is a true hobby of ours and we love seeing what we can find. She shared this video with me and we both enjoyed it. And agreed with the sign-ege comment! haha
